Dora & Boots Halloween birthday

This past weekend we also made a cake that came by request from Brigitte for her little girl's 3rd birthday.  Brigitte happened to be at the party the weekend before when we made the FCB soccer jersey cake and loved it.  Brigitte sent me a picture of Dora and Boots dressed up for Halloween and asked if we could put them on Audrina's cake as she loves Dora.

This cake is a 9"x13" double layer chocolate vegan cake filled with vegan buttercream and sprinkled with a little oreo cookie crumbs.  We took the picture that was sent to us and traced Dora and boots and recreated them in fondant for our cake topper.

And in keeping with the Halloween theme we added a few ghostly details around the cake and used black & orange for the lettering, trim and pumpkins.
