Beach wedding

Our third cake for this weekend was for a couple who were married in Cuba and having a small celebration here for their friends and family that could not attend.  Our client who is a close friend of the bride ordered the cake.  She send us a picture of what she envisioned for the cake and we made it as close to the picture as possible but with a couple of little changes to make it their own.


This 2 tiered cake is coverd in a cream coloured fondant. Bottom layer is a 12" round vanilla cake with vanilla mousse and freish strawberries as the filling.  The top layer is an 8" round chocolate cake with custard filling.  All sea shells are made from gum paste and coloured with edible dusting powders.  We added brown sugar for the sand.  Our client was thrilled with how the cake turned out.
