50th Birthday

This request came by way of Mel's hubby Phil, his friend and co-worker's mom is celebrating a birthday. A little short notice but hey we try to make everyone happy. They decided to celebrate their Mom's birthday and Mother's Day in one heartfelt swoop.  A chocolate cake was requested and this time opted for no fondant, just a simple cake. Since it was short notice, no time for making any of our famous gum paste flowers........just a simple iced cake;

A 9" chocolate fudge cake torted with cookies & cream filling.  We decided to cover the side with chocolate sprinkles and added a few on top as well.
