50th Wedding anniversary
This was one of 2 cakes this past weekend. A previous customer had contacted me and asked to us to make a baby shower cake for one her friends. The shower will be this coming Wednesday at their place of work, so working on that. But Friday Claire contacted me and asked if we could possibly come up with a small cake for pick up on Saturday (the next day) to help commemorate her parents 50th wedding anniversary.
As her parents did not want to anyone to fuss over the event it was only to be a family dinner but Claire wanted to at least have a cake for them.
Baked Friday night, filled and decorated Saturday morning, pick up Saturday afternoon. Don't usually do that but we always try to accomodate and it's hard to overlook a celebration. This is an 8" vanilla cake with vanilla mousse & fresh strawberries. Covered in ivory and decorated in ivory fondant shaded in cold luster dust and gold dragees.
